As we neared the city of Shibaozhai it began to rain.

We spent the morning cruising along this beautiful stretch of the Yangtze.

We boarded a smaller vessel to cruise on the Daning River into the beautiful Lesser Three Gorges. Some of the Yangtze's most beautiful scenery lies in these gorges, inaccessible by larger vessels.

Early in the morning we cruised through Wu (Witches) Gorge. Lush, mist-enshrouded mountains, including the legendary Twelve Peaks, rise up on both sides.
