July 17 - Cervantes

James and I drove 3 hours North of Perth to the city of Cervantes. On the way up we saw a car on fire and on the way back it was being towed in front of us.

July 15 - Perth

I took a Perth City Tour. We rode a double decker bus around the city then hopped onto a boat that took us down the Swan River to Fremantle. In Fremantle we boarded a tram and got a tour of the town. Highlights - Victoria Quay, Fremantle Markets, Fremantle Prison, Anzac Memorial, Maritime Museum.

July 15 - Perth

I haven't taken too many photos today because it's been pouring down rain. I have spent most of the day in the Art Gallery of Western Australia and pica (Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts). I couldn't take photos of any of the art, but there were so many amazing works on display.

Perth - Western Australia

I'm sorry to bombard all of you with new posts. My parents are coming in TWO days, so I figured I had better catch up on my trip before I have to sort through even more photos! July 14th James and I flew to Perth. I almost missed my flight due to traffic, but James and I ran as fast as we could and I made it with 10 minutes to spare. I now realize how out of shape I am, I didn't think I would make it to the gate running. We went to Cottesloe Beach to watch the sunset. Since we are on the West Coast, we can see the sun set over water!

Hi Mom and Dad!

My parents and I have been able to keep in touch with Skype. It's been so nice being able to see one another as we talk.

Happy July 4th!

James, Chelsea and I went to Dreamworld for the day. Chelsea goes back to Canada on Monday. I'm so happy we got to spend a whole day with her before she leaves. It was a day filled with sugar. I never thought I'd reach a point where I couldn't eat any more candy. Today was the day. Above is James after eating lots of blue cotton candy. We went on so many rides, it wasn't until the kiddie rides that I started getting nauseous. Chelsea and I were so excited to ride the Spongebob ride together. Turns out we were too old, so we had to ride separately...kinda defeated the purpose and we kinda felt silly. It was a good day overall, especially since it ended with more sugar....pink cotton candy. :P

June 27-29, Newcastle

On Friday, June 27th James and I met my aunt Tida for lunch before heading to his hometown of Newcastle. We had a nice dinner with his family and rested up for the main event...his mom's birthday on Saturday. It was an all day event! Lots of family came to share wonderful food and wish Trudy a happy birthday. The last set of photos are of the lake right behind James' mom and stepdad's home. James then took photos of his sister, aunt, cousins and me being silly.
