Our final destination was Kuranda, the "village in the rainforest". Kuranda had lots of neat shops and markets with handcrafted goods. There were also lots of restaurants and coffee shops. It was a very cute town and a great day trip. Oh there was a zoo in Kuranda and in the entrance way they had a little owl perched on a branch. That's why my mom is petting in the 2nd row of photos. She looks a little nervous :)
