Day 3 - Tennant Creek
We spent the night at Tennant Creek at an Outback station. We were upset because they didn't allow us to have a fire, the last group apparently set a blaze the reached the heavens, so all fires are now banned. Don't you hate it when stupid people ruin it for everyone else? We walked to a lookout near our campsite to watch the sunset. We had the worst dinner ever. It was cold quiche and cold potatoes. Everyone was pretty upset except for this Danish boy that ate so many pieces of quiche it made my stomach turn. After dinner the owners of the outback station gave us a powerpoint presentation on what they do. It was, um, fascinating. There was a small pub there and Chelsea, Celeste, James and I just sat outside and talked. Suddenly this creature darted under the table where we were seated and started popping its head out as us. Chelsea screamed and jumped up. It turned out to be a little goat named Gertrude. She actually answered to her name and would follow you if you called her. She was pretty cute.
They had random animals around the campsite. There was a donkey, Gertrude the goat, hundreds of cows, a couple of roos, and these horrid Turkeys that would attack you if you go too close to them.
