We got picked up bright and early at 5am. I don't think James slept at all because he was too worried about what germs were lurking around the backpacker where we spent the night. We drove for a few hours before stopping for breakfast at a rest stop that had a giant sculpture of an echidna (think of a relative of a hedgehog) and a lizard and some pet emus.
